My crazy friend Lucy asked me to do portraits of her and her beau before they leave for Seattle. So I did. We had fun. ALOT of fun.
We also made some fancy portraits. It was fun.

So my sweet Berry Lee is finally thirteen. Unbelievable. I gave her a makeover for her birthday, we got her a fancy haircut and then we did highlights and style, a little makeup and a streak of color. She loved it. It was awesome.
So I am testing a new camera and lens sent to me compliments of Canon. I have had it for a week, and have to return it to them in another week. Though the lens is a macro, and an incredible one at that, so far this week, this has been my favorite image.
So we went to Ferril Lake last night for the grand relighting of Speer's Grand Prismatic Fountain. It was purty. Digital cameras have issues with extreme color and exposure, as you can see in the butane-like blue image at the bottom. Velvia medium format would have gotten the image spot-on. Meh. The lake is on fire?!?

This is from the Triple Bypass Ride last summer. I chased these cyclists over three mountain passes then on the downside I lay down on the ground behind my tahoe and took these shots of their speedy descent. It was kinda cool until cars and motorcycles passed. Most of the cyclists had smiles on though I wanted it backlit, you can still see a hint of it. Thinking to themselves dang! That girl is a nutjob! He he, all for the image I tell you, all for the image. One more from the top...

DAM This is about a year old, but it is hot today, again, and I just wanted something to remind me that the heat will be gone soon. The day I took this it was FRIGID, frozen, brrrr, to the enth degree. Loved the patterns of snow blowing off the building. This image was also just accepted into the Photoshelter Collection.

What to say...what to say. I've got nothing. I'm emotionally drained after speding a week on the jury of a murder trial. Not a highly recommended activity. At all.
Maybe later.

An old favorite. You write the caption. I probably showed this one off before but...butt I really like it for some reason.
So I am participating in this huge "revitilazation of the stock photo industry" of something like that, where they are sending everyone out to shoot everything imaginable, today. I started yesterday. A little education/library/tween shoot at the DPL.
I never agreed to update my blog on a timely basis so I don't wanna hear it.
We just returned from Yellowstone...enjoy Lolly had an allergic reaction at the Mud Volcano...no fun. Athsma attack, her nose closed up completely and her eye swelled almost shut. This was an hour after the Benedryl.
I never agreed to update my blog on a timely basis so I don't wanna hear it.
So I haven't really talked about my newest venture. The formation of a photo agency, powered by estrogen. We are Iris, and hope to become a leading voice for women in visual communication. We will have a non-profit branch that will provide workshops and seminars, as well as photography projects serving the community.
I am excited about this new ad-venture. Our first show is currently hanging at The Other Side Arts in Denver (1644 Platte) and everyone is welcome to come and check us out!
